About Pizzeria Speranzella

Let me introduce you to Pizzeria Speranzella, a classic pizza restaurant tucked into the heart of Naples at Via S. Mattia, 6, 80132 Napoli NA, Italy, where the smell of fresh dough and bubbling mozzarella pulls you in before you even see the menu. This is the kind of place locals pop into without overthinking it, because the focus is simple, honest pizza made the Neapolitan way. From the moment you step inside, the vibe feels relaxed and welcoming, with a steady rhythm of orders moving between the kitchen and the tables. Pizzeria Speranzella works just as well for a quick bite as it does for a laid-back meal, and that flexibility is part of its charm. You can grab takeaway when you are on the move, settle in for a casual dine-in experience, or take advantage of delivery options when staying nearby. On warmer days, outdoor seating adds an extra layer of Naples street life, letting you enjoy your pizza with the sounds of the city around you. The menu keeps things approachable, pairing traditional pizzas with small plates that are easy to share, while late-night food options make it a reliable stop after an evening out. Drinks are handled just as casually, with beer, wine, spirits, and coffee available to match whatever mood you are in. There are also lighter and healthier options for anyone looking to balance indulgence with choice, which makes the restaurant appealing to mixed groups. Service moves quickly without feeling rushed, so even during busy hours the experience stays smooth and friendly, making it easy to drop in at different times of day. For visitors exploring the area, it fits naturally into a walking route, while locals treat it as a dependable go-to for familiar flavors and consistent quality. The atmosphere stays unpretentious, focused on good food, friendly exchanges, and the everyday rhythm of a working Naples pizzeria.

Ok, so it’s hard for me to put into words just how dang good this place is. From the moment we were seated, the Neapolitan hospitality was unreal. We started with the meatballs in ragu, which were melt in your mouth and with the pomodoro sauce having the perfect tartness and richness. But then the pizza……oooofah, im speechless. We ordered a mortadella pie with burratta and an eggplant and pomodoro pie and both were literally some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. Like religious experience good!! And to top it off, the staff were some of the nicest people ever and even saw us off with a cheeky lemon cello shot. Thank you and Grazie Mille!!

Well, it’s Naples! super crowded. We sat outside on the street to feel the vibe. The place is cozy, and they actually have several restaurants with the same name nearby, so make sure you pick the right one. The street is extremely busy and cars keep passing; drivers aren’t patient, so expect constant horns and honks. I love eggplant, so the Parmigiana was definitely the best. The other dishes were good too, but don’t go with very high expectations. If you like Pizza, then it’s a good choice! One weird thing: I asked for a slice of lemon for my sparkling water. First they said they didn’t have any. Another waitress said yes, then came back and said no again. Really? No lemon?

We popped into Pizzeria Speranzella for a quick bite between sightseeing and it hit the spot! Had ham and cheese croquettes and bruschetta to start, followed by two Margherita pizzas with buffalo mozzarella. Everything was fresh, simple, and delicious. Perfect for a casual, tasty break in the city.

Awesome little Pizzeria to get unbelievable local food! We found this place just walking around. It is a tiny restaurant with just a few tables outside and a few inside. The tables are situated pretty much in the street as the roadway is extremely narrow. If you are sitting on the street side of the table you will be centimeters from the cars passing by, but that just adds to the ambiance! We had the Margherita pizza with a large ball of the most amazing buffalo mozzarella in the middle. The flavor of the pizza was unforgettable. The service was also impeccable. This place is worth finding! I highly recommend it!

Wow! The best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. So good it could pass as a regular pizza easily, and a good one. My family ordered regular pizzas and enjoyed as well. Couldn’t recommend more, and if the pizza itself wasn’t enough, the staff were charming and great

The food was great, especially the meatballs! The tiramisu wasn't quite as good.

Pasquale gave us an amazing service. While we waited for the table he brought us Prosecco ! The food was great, eating outside was very fun and made us feel the atmosphere of the city. Had a great time with the family!
